How to plant tomatoes in Hydroponic System

tomatoes hydroponic easy

1. Decide which type of system to use.

There several type of system, tomatoes can live well in several type of it, in these tutorial i choose manual fertigation system, which is relative easy and cheap for me to build.

2. Fill a bucket of ice cream with husk coal and zeolite grave.

I made bucket from a 3 gallon ice cream bucket. Make sure the gallon holed in about 3 inch from bottom to prevent water from soaking all the roots which could rot root in tomatoes plant

3. Move seedling to the bucket.

Wait the roots until start protrude from the bottom of the rockwool, and "true leaf" start to grow different shape from first one or "seedling leafs". Make hole with spoon or hand about 1 inch at top of zeolit and husk coal in the bucket. Place the seedling in that hole, and cover the seedling rockwool with zeolit and husk coal. Start to watering with nutrition solution. Follow the instructions on the packaging to determine how much you need to grow your tomatoes plant.

4. Keep watering your tomatoes.
Tomatoes can grow perfectly with eC 3–5 and pH 5.8–6.3 and ready to harvest about 90 days from seedling.
